The California Department of Fish and Wildlife (CDFW) has executed Streambed Alteration Agreement EPIMS Notification Number SAC-59964-R2, pursuant to Section 1602 of the Fish and Game Code to the project Applicant, Westervelt Ecological Services, LLC. The project will preserve and restore approximately 204 acres of wetland, riparian, and riverine, notching stream banks to restore hydrologic connectivity with the Cosumnes River and Laguna Creek. The project will grade and contour existing agricultural fields to connect approximately 4,400 linear feet of pilot channels and swales to restore and promote topographic complexity associated with floodplain wetland and riparian habitats. The project will plant native wetland and riparian plant species to encourage native plant recruitment.
