The Marine Corps Systems Command (MARCORSYSCOM) has a requirement for engineering and technical support services for the re-engineering of the AN/PRC-148 (V) 2 (C) radios in support of the Target Location Designation Handoff System (TLDHS) program. This effort includes software re-engineering and integration of the software into existing AN/PRC-148 (V) 2 (C) radios. This solicitation will be negotiated on a sole source basis in accordance with 10 U.S.C. 2304 (c) (1) with Thales Communications, Inc., Clarksburg. MD. Thales, Inc. is the original equipment manufacturer (OEM) and owns all related proprietary data and drawings. As such, Thales is the only contractor with the requisite knowledge and expertise to perform this effort.
