Levee and River Maintenance for Flood Control along the Kings River (Fresno and Kings Counties)

The California Department of Fish and Wildlife has extended Lake and Streambed Alteration Agreement 1600-2013-0045-R4 to the Kings River Conservation District. This agreement authorizes essential maintenance activities for flood control levees and channels along the Kings River, spanning both Fresno and Kings Counties. The extension moves the agreement expiration date to September 30, 2030, and includes modifications designed to ensure the project is more adequately protective. The project is managed by Steve Stadler of the Kings River Conservation District and overseen by Linda Connolly of the California Department of Fish and Wildlife.
