Pursuant to Fish and Game Code section 1652, the California Department of Fish and Wildlife has approved the Wildcat Creek Reach 4 Restoration Project submitted by Scott River Watershed Council. The Project will install ten logs with rootwads, six rock wedge structures, and excavate two floodplain channel inlets to activate flow in existing low elevation channels in Wildcat Creek. The Project will also create a floodplain bench as well as excavate an inlet to allow for access a constructed alcove along the creek. The Project will also include riparian planting. These activities will improve channel complexity as well as create more rearing habitat for salmonids.
