Apple Farm Streambank Stabilization Project

The project is located at 2015 Monterey Street within the city of San Luis Obispo, San Luis Obispo County. This project is proposed to stabilize about 0.006 acres of severely eroded slope along the north bank of San Luis Obispo Creek that is currently threatening the existing fenceline and concrete walkway of the Apple Farm Inn property. The project is planned to excavate native soil to construct a keyway on the slope, place about 27 cubic yards of riprap and back fill with 1- to 4-inch leach rock, and then cover the area with soil. An exposed drainpipe will also be extended and routed into the slope face, terminating in a small energy dissipation basin constructed of smaller rock at the base of repair. The repaired slope will be seeded and planted with native erosion control seed mix and willow stakes.
