Full Description

The U.S. Department of Energy (DOE), Energy Information Administration, intends to award a sole source contract to R. L. Polk & Company for a license to access vehicle registration and associated demographic data for the current year. The licenses provide access to R. L. Polk & Company?s 2011 National Vehicle Population Profile (NVPP), 2011 Truck Industry Profile (TIP), 2011 Motorcycle NVPP data and 2011 US Household Demographic Data. The DOE is proposing to award a contract that consists of one base year. The DOE is using exemption to competition 6.302-1(a) (2) (ii), One Responsible source. This is a notice of intent and not a request for competitive proposals. No solicitation is available for this requirement. If a firm believes the DOE should not pursue this sole source contract with R. L. Polk & Company, then they should submit a capability statement and pricing information for the requirement by July 27, 2012 at 12:00 PM (Eastern Standard Time) via email to M contact@example.gov. A determination by the Government to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
