LITTLE CALUMET RIVER, PUMP STATION 2B REHABILITATION PROJECT IN HAMMOND INDIANA

This Pre-Solicitation Notice is being issued by the United States Army Corps of Engineers - Chicago District to inform interested/potential contractors of the District's imminent issue of a Request for Proposal to obtain construction services for the LITTLE CALUMET RIVER, PUMP STATION 2B REHABILITATION PROJECT IN HAMMOND INDIANA. PROJECT INFORMATION: Under the contract set, the contractor will be responsible for providing all equipment, materials, and labor for the replacement of pumps and/or motors; heating and ventilation work; removal and replacement of trash racks; electrical work; structural work, and other miscellaneous tasks for Indianapolis Boulevard, Jackson Avenue, and Southside Pump Stations. ACQUISITION INFORMATION: Competition for this acquisition is RESTRICTED to certified Service Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business Concerns. The Classification Code for this procurement is North American Industry System (NAICS) 237990 with a small business size standard of $31M. The magnitude of cost for this construction project is estimated between $10M and $25M. The Request for Proposal (RFP) Package will be downloadable from the INTERNET ONLY. The due date for proposals will be on or about 18 September 2008 at 4:30 pm CDT. In order for contractors to conduct business with the Department of Defense, the contractor must provide registration information to the Central Contractor Registration (CCR).
