Marsteller Middle School HVAC Modernization + Addition

The contract involves the comprehensive modernization of the HVAC system at Marsteller Middle School, including the installation of a geothermal well system to enhance energy efficiency and sustainability. Alongside this, the project entails the construction of a new 10,191 square foot classroom addition and a larger 14,725 square foot expansion that will house additional classrooms, administrative offices, and a secure vestibule. Selective demolition of existing areas is required to expand the cafeteria and kitchen facilities and improve interior circulation. Building-wide upgrades are also included, covering the replacement of low-voltage systems, ceilings, and lighting throughout the facility. Site enhancements encompass ADA compliance improvements, expansion and reconfiguration of parking areas, redesign of vehicular traffic flow and the bus loop, and implementation of stormwater management solutions to meet environmental standards. The scope of work spans multiple disciplines including masonry, concrete, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and systems demolition and upgrades, with all equipment and furnishings specified in the contract documents to be supplied and installed by the Contractor. This project is being procured by Prince William County Schools in Virginia under solicitation number IFB-124264, with responses due by August 20, 2026, and performance to occur at 14000 Sudley Manor Drive in Bristow, VA.
