Oregon State University intends to contract for the provision of Mass Timber Quality Control and Quality Assurance Workshop Instruction Services from Wood Research & Development as a sole source because of the uniqueness (design, capability, nature) of the services and the contractor being the single provide of the services. The selected supplier must possess a combination of expertise in timber engineering, mass timber manufacturing, quality control and quality assurance practices, research and development, and professional education. The supplier must be capable of teaching learners across all experience levels, from entry-level manufacturing personnel to engineers and managers, using existing course materials while incorporating real-world examples and practical solutions drawn from current industry experience. The supplier must also have demonstrated experience developing educational content for timber engineering professionals and be actively engaged in timber engineering practice, research, and workforce training An entity may challenge this determination no later than the closing date indicated on the website.
