The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention intends to award a sole source firm fixed price contract to Merck Sharp and Dohme LLC (Merck) to store and rotate doses of pediatric vaccine manufactured by Merckk in a national pediatric stockpile as part of the mandatory Vaccines for Children (VFC) program. Merck, as the manufacturer, is the only source with capability to rotate its older stockpiled vaccines into operating inventory before expiration and replenish the roated vaccines in order to maintain a viable stockpile.


The authority for this sole source acquisition is in accordance with RFO FAR Part 12.102(b).


This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals; however, any firm believing it can fulfill the requirement identified above may submit a written response to be received by the Contracting Office no later than 15 business days after the original date of publication of this notice, which shall be considered by the agency. The written response shall reference soliciation number 75D30126R73497 and provide a capability statement that clearly indicates the firm's experience, assets, background, and abilitiy to preform the requirement without compromising the quality, accuracy, reliability and schedule.


The Government will consider all information received via email to the Contract Specialist and Contracting Officedr by 12 August 2026 at 1:00pm ET.
