This is a sole-source synopsis that provides tentative notification of the Space and Naval Warfare System Center Atlantics intent to extend contract N65236-07-D-6867 with Scientific Research Corporation (SRC) to cover known requirements for a period of six months. The period of performance for this extension will be from 09 JULY 2012 to 08 JANUARY 2013. This extension is needed to satisfy the the Space and Naval Warfare System Center Atlantics Polar program requirement until award of a follow on contract is awarded. This extension will be performed by the incumbent contractor Scientific Research Corporation (SRC), 200 Windy Ridge Parkway, STE 400 South, Atlanta GA 30339. This six-month extension is accomplished pursuant to 10 U.S.C. 2304(c) (1), "Only One Responsible Source and No Other Supplies or Services will Satisfy Agency Requirements," as implemented by FAR 6.302-1. This Notice of Intent is not a request for competitive proposals. Any response to this notice must show clear and convincing evidence that competition of the work required during the extension period would be advantageous to the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete this contract extension period based on this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
