Millerton State Recreation Area South Finegold Picnic and Temperance Flat Areas Interpretive Display Case Installation

The California Department of Parks and Recreation is seeking a contractor to install new interpretive display cases and signs at the South Finegold and Temperance Flat Day Use Areas within the Millerton Lake State Recreation Area in Fresno County. The primary objective of this project is to provide visitors with essential information regarding park rules, operating hours, facility locations, area orientation, and critical water safety tips for unguarded shorelines. This project is classified as a forecast under NAICS code 237990 and is categorically exempt from certain environmental reviews under CCR sections 15301, 15303, and 15304 due to the limited nature of the new structures. The scope of work at each site requires the excavation of two 15-inch by 15-inch by 24-inch deep post holes to secure 4x6 redwood posts with concrete. Contractors must attach a prebuilt display case to the posts, apply a resin stain to all exposed wood, and install educational materials secured by a locking plexiglass window.
