Modified Gaming Consoles for CCHCS

California Correctional Health Care Services is soliciting offers for the procurement of modified gaming systems, accessories, and specific digital games to support mental health recreational therapy groups within a correctional setting. The contractor must provide modified Nintendo Switch consoles that have had their Wi-Fi and networking connection capabilities and game cartridge readers removed for security purposes. Additionally, 512GB Micro SD cards must be epoxy-sealed into the consoles, and the contractor is responsible for creating new Nintendo accounts for each device, providing all login and recovery information to the institution. All modified hardware must be delivered to the California Medical Facility in Vacaville, California, within thirty days after receipt of order. The contract requires a minimum 12-month warranty mirroring the manufacturer's warranty and the provision of one loaner device for every ten consoles if repairs exceed two weeks. Award selection is based on a Best Value methodology, with cost weighted at 90 percent of the evaluation. Eligible bidders must be in good standing within the State of California and submit a comprehensive package including a signed cover letter, bidder's declaration, and certifications regarding the Darfur Contracting Act, postconsumer recycled content, and Generative AI disclosure. Payments will be processed monthly in arrears according to the State of California Prompt Payment Act. CCHCS retains the option to increase original order quantities by up to 20 percent.
