MOVING SERVICES

The County of Riverside Purchasing Department is soliciting quotations for moving services as outlined in this Request for Quotation (RFQ) in support of County operations. These services may include internal department relocations, inter-facility moves, and moves required to support the clients and programs served by various County agencies. The selected bidders will be responsible for providing a full suite of moving services, including assembly/disassembly of furniture, consulting, labor, equipment, vehicles, tools, packing materials, and materials necessary for the relocation of furniture, fixtures, supplies, and various other items throughout the County. In addition to standard moving services, the County occasionally requires temporary onsite or offsite storage solutions, such as PODs or container-based units. These storage options are often needed to support swing-space requirements or to house furniture, equipment, and materials while facilities undergo renovation or refurbishment. Vendors may be asked to provide, deliver, and retrieve storage containers as part of a project’s logistical needs. The County conducts a wide variety of relocations throughout the year, ranging from small, routine moves to large, multi-phase, department-wide transitions. Because these needs span a large geographical area and involve multiple facilities, programs, and service populations, the County intends to award contracts to more than one qualified bidder to ensure sufficient resources, coverage, and scheduling flexibility. Bidders awarded under this RFQ may be called upon to perform moves of any size, complexity, or location within Riverside County.
