The Space and Naval Warfare Systems Center Pacific (SSC Pacific) plans to extend an existing sole-source contract with AsynchronyHUBZone, LLC, based in Saint Louis, Missouri. This extension will add 12 months to the current ordering period, extending through April 28, 2013, without any increase to the contract ceiling. The contract, originally awarded on April 28, 2009, is a cost-plus-fixed-fee indefinite delivery, indefinite quantity (IDIQ) contract under the identifier N66001-09-D-0058. The extension will be executed as a sole-source modification due to the unique technical expertise AsynchronyHUBZone offers, which is considered crucial to avoid duplication of effort, cost, and time that would arise if another contractor were engaged. This action is justified under applicable federal acquisition regulations and statutes allowing for non-competitive awards when only one responsible source is available to meet the requirements. No solicitation or request for proposal is being issued for this extension, as it is not open to competition. The contract supports the SSC Pacific's operational needs without anticipating any further requirements after the completion of the extended term. The office overseeing this action is located in San Diego, California, and any inquiries regarding the modification may be directed to the designated contact, Norman Florida.
