Solicitation # 19JA7027Q0002
The U.S. Consulate General in Sapporo, Japan, is issuing a pre-solicitation notice for solicitation 19JA7027Q0002 to secure a firm-fixed-price contract for the Freedom 250 commemorative event on February 5, 2027. All U.S. contractors must be registered in the System for Award Management (SAM) per FAR 52.204-7, and the opportunity is subject to FAR 52.229-12 regarding taxes on certain foreign procurements. RFI - Event Management & Technical Production Services for Commencement Ceremonies
Solicitation # 1254826
Grand Valley State University is issuing Request for Information 1254826 to gather technical insights, vendor qualifications, and preliminary cost structures for a potential five-year contract. The objective is to secure comprehensive event management, technical production, and live event coordination services for four annual commencement ceremonies held at Van Andel Arena in Grand Rapids, Michigan. This process is strictly for information-gathering and planning purposes and does not constitute a formal solicitation for bids or a commitment to award a contract. Key requirements for interested suppliers include proficiency in Tassel software for displaying names and announcements, and the ability to provide technical documentation such as rigging designs and CAD drawings. Deliverables include the production of video-recorded electronic files of all ceremonies in modern digital formats. Vendors must demonstrate experience collaborating with Van Andel Arena management on technical safety and logistics, and they must ensure all subcontractors meet higher education risk and insurance standards, including commercial liability and workers compensation. The university emphasizes socially responsible procurement, prioritizing American-made products and services when they are technically acceptable and price-competitive. All responses must be submitted through the GVSU Workday Strategic Sourcing platform by 5:00 PM ET on November 13, 2026. As this is an RFI, the university is seeking budget estimates rather than binding prices.
