The National Institute of Health Clinical Center Office of Purchasing and Contracts intends to award a sole-source blanket purchase order to PMT Corporation for the procurement of neurosurgery electrodes and accessories. These specialized medical supplies, which include SEEG electrodes, drill bits, bushings, platinum strips, and interconnection cables, are used by the Department of Peri-Operative Medicine to map critical brain areas controlling speech and motor functions and to identify seizure onset. PMT Corporation is identified as the only vendor capable of providing these proprietary electrodes with a smaller 0.8mm diameter, allowing for less invasive depth, and offering options for removable or permanent stylets and nonmagnetic configurations. This acquisition is conducted under FAR Subpart 13.106-1(b)(i) with a performance period of eight months from the award date. The procurement falls under NAICS code 423450. While the government has not estimated exact quantities at the time of award, it reserves the right to increase quantities per FAR 52.217-6. This notice serves as a presolicitation announcement rather than a request for quotations, though interested parties may submit capability statements to the Clinical Center for consideration regarding potential competition.
