Department of Transportation is authorized to obtain motor vehicles for research and testing purposes. NHTSA's Vehicle Research and Test Center (VRTC), located in East Liberty, Ohio will competitively procure new and used vehicles from commercial motor vehicle dealers located in reasonable proximity to the VRTC to reduce transportation/delivery charges and to expedite delivery.
