North Glendora Reservoir Replacement Project

The North Glendora Reservoir Replacement Project, managed by the City of Glendora, involves the construction of two new 0.3 MG welded steel reservoirs on a 2.0-acre site in Glendora, California. The project scope includes the demolition and removal of an existing bolted steel reservoir, the installation of inlet, outlet, overflow, and bottom drain pipelines, and the widening of the existing reservoir access road to improve water storage reliability for the service area. The construction schedule is phased from January 1, 2024, through March 7, 2025, encompassing site preparation, grading, tank construction, and piping connections. The project has undergone extensive environmental review under the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA), resulting in a Mitigated Negative Declaration. Technical assessments have addressed biological resources, paleontological and cultural resource impacts, noise and vibration levels for nearby residents, and air quality and greenhouse gas emissions. Geotechnical evaluations were conducted using ASTM and California standards to inform design and construction, including seismic and slope stability analyses. Compliance requirements include adherence to South Coast Air Quality Management District rules for dust and VOC emissions, as well as the implementation of a Storm Water Pollution Prevention Plan.
