The Department of Defense, through the DLA Distribution Acquisition Operations Contracting Office in New Cumberland, Pennsylvania, intends to award a sole-source, firm-fixed-price purchase order to Diverse Technologies Corporation (DTC) for Information Technology Support Services. These services encompass support for hardware, software, and telecommunications to maintain all IT equipment at DLA Information Operations New Cumberland, stationed in Corpus Christi, Texas. The contract is a short-term extension, lasting nine months, designed to ensure uninterrupted service as the current contract, which expires on November 14, 2014, approaches its conclusion. DTC is already providing satisfactory services and has the necessary experienced staff to meet the requirements. This sole-source procurement is justified under FAR 8.405 and reflects the government's decision that issuing a contract to another vendor would neither be logical nor cost-effective. While this notice invites interested parties to express interest and demonstrate capability, the government retains full discretion over whether to open the competition. Simultaneously, the DLA is preparing to recompete the services under a new solicitation. The designated point of contact for this action is Contract Specialist Genesis Griffin, who can be reached for questions or responses regarding this requirement.
