The Indian Health Service (IHS), Albuquerque Area Office (AAO), intends to award a sole source, firm-fixed-price contract to Carefusion Solutions LLC (UEI: E99HA2K3YTG8) for Carefusion/Becton Dickinson (BD) Pyxis Medication Dispensing System and software support services for the Mescalero Indian Health Center, Mescalero, New Mexico.



This acquisition is conducted under FAR 6.302-1(a)(2)(ii), Only One Responsible Source. Carefusion Solutions LLC is the original equipment manufacturer (OEM) and the sole source provider for the required services. The services are directly related to the support of Carefusuion/BD Pyxis automated dispensing system and software support, which is developed and owned by Carefusion Solutions LLC, and for which the company retains exclusive proprietary rights. As such, no other vendor is authorized or capable of providing the required software licensing and support services without causing unacceptable disruption to existing operations.



The anticipated period of performance includes a base period from August 01, 2026, through July 31, 2027, with four (4) option periods through July 31, 2031. The place of performance is Mescalero Indian Health Center located in Mescalero, New Mexico.

Any determination by the Government not to compete the proposed contract will be based on responses to this notice and is solely within the discretion of the Government.
