NOTICE OF INTENT TO AWARD A SOLE SOURCE CONTRACT. THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE QUOTES.
The Government intends to solicit and award a sole source Blanket Purchase Agreement for Mortuary Services for Joint Base
Charleston under the authority of RFO 6.103-1, "Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency
requirements". This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotes. This synopsis is for informational purposes only. The
Reference Number is FA441826Q0043.



The 628th Contracting Squadron (628 CONS) located at 101 E. Hill Blvd, Joint Base Charleston (JB CHS), SC intends to award a
Blanket Purchase Agreement (BPA) to McAlister-Smith Funeral Home, Inc. for the procurement of Mortuary Services. The contractor shall provide facilities, equipment, licensed personnel, motor vehicles, professional services, supplies, death certificates, caskets, urns, outer shipping containers, transportation, and perform hygienic practices if and when called by the Contracting Officer or designated representative during the period of 1 Jun 2026 through 31 Jul 2031. The contractor shall comply with the highest industry standards in fulfilling the terms and conditions of this contract. The Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement includes clauses unique to the procurement of mortuary services (252.237-7000 through 252.237-7011).
