Notice of Intent to Sole Source to Sub-Atlantic, Inc.

The Fleet and Industrial Supply Center San Diego, Port Hueneme Site, intends to award a sole source procurement to Sub-Atlantic, Inc., Houston, TX under the authority of the Test Program for Certain Commercial Items, as implemented by FAR 13.501(1)(1)(ii). The Naval Facilities Engineering Service Center Ocean Facilities requires a Tether Management System (TMS) to support major upgrade efforts to an existing unique submersible system. The TMS is comprised of the following items: One Each - TMS, Type 1B; One Each - TMS Slip Ring - SM Fiber, 2 pass; One Each - Fiber Optic Board - Console Fiber Optic MUX PCB; One Each - TMS Telemetry Board, Console Telemetry Board; One Each - TMS Relay Board, Console relay board; One Each - Spares Kit, Type 1B TMS Spares; One Each - Fiber Optic Spares Kit, Remote Fiber Optic MUX PCB, Console Fiber Optic MUX PCB; One Each - Full System Inegratoin - Aberdeem Integration; One Each - Full System Integration, Integration onsite of TMS Upgra! de/Rewiring; One Each - Manuals, ROV and TMS Technical Manuals; Training/FAT - 3 day Service and Maintenance Training at Sub-Atlantic Ltd in English with a maximum three technicians. Interested parties may identify their interest and capability to meet the Government's requirement. THIS NOTICE OF INTENT IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE QUOTES. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. No solicitation document is available.
