This initiative, known as the 3D National Topography Model (3DNTM) Data Collaboration Announcement, is divided into two primary opportunities: the 3D Elevation Program (3DEP) for lidar data and the 3D Hydrography Program (3DHP). Preference is given to projects exceeding 1,500 square miles and those located in priority areas where existing data is five or more years old in the contiguous US, or eight or more years old in Alaska, Hawaii, and U.S. territories. The standard period of performance for these projects is 18 to 24 months. All resulting data must conform to USGS product specifications and will be made available via The National Map Data Download and Visualization Services.
