NAVSUP Fleet Logistics San Diego (FLCSD) plans to award a sole source contract to Vertiv Corporation, the manufacturer of the Liebert EXM UPS, for preventive maintenance services supporting the Tactical Training Group Pacific (TACTRAGRUPAC). This contract will cover maintenance of the UPS and its components, ensuring continued operational readiness. The procurement will be conducted under Simplified Acquisition Procedures and will use an other-than-full-and-open competition approach, justified by the need to work exclusively with the original equipment manufacturer, Vertiv, based on FAR regulations that allow solicitation from a single source when only one supplier is reasonably available. The notice clarifies that this is not a request for quotations or competitive proposals; however, interested parties may express interest and provide product information by the stated deadline for the government’s consideration. The government retains full discretion over whether to pursue a competitive process, but the current intent is to award solely to Vertiv under the authority supporting sole source contracts, given the unique nature of the equipment and services required. The solicitation relates to the NAICS code 811310 for commercial and industrial machinery and equipment repair and maintenance services, with the contract managed by NAVSUP Fleet Logistics Center San Diego, Department of Defense.
