Full Description

This project to replace aging duct bank along Gilbert, Pocahontas, Powhatan and Pierce Streets in the N, M, S, R, H, P, A, C and B Areas. This project will rehabilitate the old ductbank system installed to support the original electrical distribution by relining the conduits and replace old and marginally functional cabling. The old ductbank system is deteriorating as a result of water infiltration in the ductbank and soil erosion around the ductbank is causing non-uniform settlement along the ductbanks . Construction projects slated to use the aging infrastructure have to spend vast numbers of labor hours cleaning the existing conduits to use on those projects.
