This Competitive Solicitation is intended for the purchase of Nutritionals and dietary food products and dietary supplements, such as powdered and liquid formulas for essential and non-essential nutrients, vitamins, and dietary management. Many of these products are specifically designed for newborns, the elderly, or people who have deficiencies in vitamins, proteins, or other nutrients due to medical conditions that need a specific supplement on an ongoing basis. Washington Hospitals and prison facilities are the primary purchasers of these products. This contract is intended to supplement the Washington contract for federally funded WIC formula rebate purchases. Purchases using WIC and Medicaid are outside the scope of this contract.
