OC Parks - Weed Abatement & Fuel Modification Services

The County of Orange, through OC Community Resources, is soliciting firm price bids for weed abatement and fuel modification services for OC Parks to improve fire safety and abate flammable materials. The selected contractor will provide all labor, equipment, and supervision to perform mowing, disking, flailing, and hand weed whipping across various county properties, covering no less than 230 acres annually. Services must be performed between April 1 and June 30 each year, with vegetation maintained at a maximum height and length of 2 inches. The contract spans three calendar years with a possible two-year renewal and requires strict adherence to California prevailing wage laws and environmental standards, including specific NPDES permits. Awarding will be based on the lowest responsive and responsible bid, with price preferences of 5% for OCLSB or DVBE certified businesses and 8% for those holding both certifications, capped at 100,000 dollars. Bidders must provide a valid UEI and D-U-N-S number, a non-collusion declaration, and at least three professional references. The contract requires both a Faithful Performance Bond and a Labor and Material Payment Bond. Invoices are submitted in arrears on the contractor's letterhead with payment terms of net 30 days.
