The United States Coast Guard Surface Forces Logistics Center is soliciting quotations for the open, inspect, report, and possible repair of six sediment sea suction duplex strainers, part number ML20750, NSN 4730-01-599-8545, used on 45R Small Boats. This combined synopsis and solicitation is a total small business set-aside under NAICS code 336612. The scope of work requires reconditioning the strainers to original equipment manufacturer standards, including disassembly, cleaning, hydrostatic testing, and painting. All work must be performed by certified personnel using genuine OEM parts, and the final products must include a one-year warranty from the date of installation. The government anticipates a non-competitive sole source award to Miller-Leaman Inc. or its authorized distributors, as they possess the proprietary technical data and engineering drawings necessary for the repair. Quotations must be submitted by July 15, 2015, and include loaded labor rates, inspection charges per strainer, preservation and packaging costs, and the replacement cost for new units. Delivery is required by August 30, 2015, F.O.B. Destination to Baltimore, Maryland. Strict adherence to individual packaging, bar-coding, and marking specifications is mandatory to avoid rejection and nonpayment.
