ORAL SURGERY

The Pennsylvania Department of Human Services is soliciting bids for a Board Certified oral surgery contractor to provide consultation, diagnostic, and surgical procedures for consumers residing at Clarks Summit State Hospital. Services must be performed at the contractor's place of business, which must be located within a 50-mile radius of the hospital, using the contractor's own equipment and materials. The contract includes an initial one-year term with the possibility of four additional one-year renewals and a potential three-month extension. Award will be granted to the lowest responsible and responsive bidder. The selected contractor must hold an unrestricted license to practice dental oral surgery in Pennsylvania and maintain dental malpractice and liability insurance throughout the term. Compliance requirements include adhering to HIPAA and HITECH Act standards for protecting health information via a Business Associate Agreement, as well as certifying compliance with state labor, workforce safety, and nondiscrimination laws. Bidders must submit all proposals through the SRM electronic system, including required lobbying and worker protection certifications. Invoicing must be conducted on the contractor's letterhead and is subject to the availability of state and federal appropriations.
