Orono Park and Lakebreeze Park Landscape Improvements

The Municipality of Clarington is soliciting proposals under contract CL2026-37 for landscape improvements at two locations. The scope of work includes the replacement of existing pergola structures and associated site improvements at Lakebreeze Park, as well as the resurfacing of tennis and pickleball courts, installation of a tennis fencing windscreen, and related site improvements at Orono Park. The project is expected to be awarded in October 2026, with substantial completion anticipated by the spring of 2027. A minimum twelve-month warranty is required following the certificate of substantial performance. Proposals must be submitted electronically via the municipality's bidding system by September 24, 2026. Bidders must comply with Buy Ontario Regulations by providing an accurate Domestic Supply Chain Plan. The award will be based on the best interests of the municipality, considering quality of work and pricing integrity, with unbalanced tenders subject to rejection. Required security includes a bid deposit and performance and labour/material payment bonds, each equal to 50 percent of the total tender amount, with the performance bond capped at 100,000 dollars. Additionally, a 10 percent holdback applies per the Construction Act, and contractors must provide proof of WSIB coverage.
