Department of Water Resources (DWR) and Contractor will repair and retrofit all 8 radial gates at the Oroville Dam Flood Control Outlet (FCO) to meet seismic criteria. Gate arms are to be reinforced with carbon fiber reinforced polymer, then grouted and skin plate coatings will be re-coated. A crane will be used to lift gates during construction activities but will stay in the gate bay and not be removed. Trunnion pins and bushings will also be replaced. All access, staging, and work is within DWR right of way.
