The Government plans to award a sole source contract to Greer Communication, located in Clarksville, Tennessee, for the procurement of Zetron paging equipment to support an existing system at Fort Campbell, Kentucky. This procurement is justified under statutory authority allowing for non-competitive negotiation due to Greer Communication's original design and installation of the system, which makes use of another source cost-prohibitive. The procurement will be conducted using Simplified Acquisition Procedures and categorized under NAICS code 443112 with a business size standard of $8 million. The sole source requirement includes specific Zetron equipment components such as a Paging Terminal, Dual Telephone Interface Card, Messaging Input Modem, Radio Station Control Card, Voice Controller, System Voice Prompts, Multiport Serial Interface, equipment racks, and an Uninterruptible Power Supply. Although this is not a competitive solicitation, the Government invites any firm that believes it can meet the requirements to submit written notification within four days from the synopsis publication date, accompanied by detailed supporting evidence. These responses will be reviewed, but the Government retains discretion to proceed without competition. If no responses are received by the deadline of September 29, 2006, at 11:00 a.m. CST, the Government will continue with sole source negotiations with Greer Communication. Responses can be submitted via email or fax, with telephone inquiries not accepted. Points of contact for this procurement effort include Shirley Banks and Contracting Officer Gertrude Colbert.
