The project will renovate the evidence room inside B254 to provide a space that is in compliance for NCIS security inspections. 1. WORK LOCATION, Base-Building: SEABEA-254 Floor: 1 Room: 11 2. LOCATION POC INFO Command: NCIS 3. ISSUE & IMPACT (If not completed): This evidence room is flagged through NCIS security inspections as an infraction. If not completed, additional infractions could occur and negatively impact the NCIS mission. 4. DESCRIPTION OF WORK (Full Project SCOPE): Existing Exterior Entryway Door: • (ESS Security) Remove Balanced Magnetic Switch from exterior entryway door and disable zone alarm for Evidence Room. ESS for NCIS secure space areas must remain active. ESS internal keypad within Evidence Room must be removed for future relocation (is occupying space on wall where new entryway will be located). • Any electrical and/or security alarm conduit or circuit hardware located on/within [new entryway location] must be removed for rerouting around new entryway location before construction of new entryway can commence. • Demolish existing door and entryway. • Using matching cement masonry materials as surrounding wall, construct new exterior wall to seal exterior entryway. Thickness and wall type must remain uniform to rest of space. New Entryway Construction: • In interior NCIS Secured Space, cut/demolish Evidence Room wall at designated location to create new entryway space into Evidence Room. • Install new jam/entryway hardware to accommodate new door. • Ensure any electrical and/or security alarm conduit or circuit hardware removed prior to entryway construction has been rerouted/constructed/installed around new entryway.
