PNEUMATIC VEHICLE TIRES AND TIRE SERVICE

The City of Pomona is soliciting bids under IFB 2026-39 for a five-year agreement to supply pneumatic vehicle tires and comprehensive tire services for its city-operated vehicles and industrial equipment. The scope of work includes the provision of new standard production tires, recaps, and inner tubes, as well as services such as mounting, dismounting, balancing, flat repair, and front-end alignments for passenger cars and light trucks. These services must be available at the supplier's place of business, various City Yard facilities, and on the road. To ensure prompt service, the contractor's operating location must be within seven miles of the City Yard at 636 W. Monterey Avenue, Pomona. The contract will be awarded to the lowest responsible bidder, with the City reserving the right to award to multiple contractors. Evaluation factors beyond price include the bidder's capability, financial resources, reputation, past performance, and the quality and suitability of the supplies. All tires must comply with Federal Motor Vehicle Standards, Tire and Rim Association standards, and applicable state regulations. Bidders must submit their responses electronically via PlanetBids by October 22, 2026, and include all mandatory forms, including a Minority Business Questionnaire and a certification regarding Russian sanctions. Additionally, contracts valued at $1,000 or more for repair and maintenance are subject to DIR prevailing wage requirements.
