The Coast Guard's Maintenance and Logistics Command, Pacific proposes to procure a CPIF Multi-Ship, Multi-Option maintenance contract for the POLAR class icebreakers POLAR SEA and POLAR STAR, the service's 399 foot long, 13,000 ton sisterships, homported in Seattle, WA. Work will start on or about 26 December 2008 and complete by 2 Sep 2013, at a contractor's facility located within 200 road miles of Seattle, WA. The resulting contract will include contract line items for contractor planning phase assistance, execution phase depot level repair and alteration, LLTM procurement and non-scheduled repairs and alterations for both vessels.
