Some residents experienced Substantial Damage, as defined by the Federal Emergency Management Agency. The County participates in the National Flood Insurance Program (NFIP) and continues to work with state and federal agencies to provide assistance to residents. In conjunction with the Florida Department of Emergency Management the County received a donation of Travel Trailer Units (TTU) for occupancy by eligible Hernando County survivors.
