The City of Cairo will be accepting Sealed Bids for the construction of the Water Pollution Control Plant Improvements will be received, by City of Cairo, at 119 North Broad St, Cairo GA 39828, until 11:00 AM, Tuesday, June 9, 2026, local time, at which time the Bids received will be publicly opened and read. No bid may be withdrawn after the closing time for receipt of bids for a period of sixty (60) days. Any Contractor submitting a bid must be a licensed Utility Contractor by the State of Georgia. License numbers must be written on the face of the bid envelope. No bid will be opened unless the license number is clearly shown. See Instructions to Bidders for additional bidding requirements. The work to be done shall consist of furnishing all labor, materials and equipment necessary to construct the proposed Water Pollution Control Plant Improvements as shown on the construction drawings. For the full Scope of Work to be performed see the Advertisement for Bids. In order for a Bid to be considered, it is mandatory that the Bidder¿s Affidavit of Compliance with O.C.G.A. §13-10-91 be completed and submitted with the Bid. Owner reserves the right to reject any or all Bids, including without limitation, the rights to reject any or all nonconforming, nonresponsive, unbalanced, or conditional Bids and to reject the Bid of any Bidder if Owner believes that it would not be in the best interest of the Project to make an award to that Bidder, whether because the Bid is not responsive or the Bidder is unqualified or of doubtful financial ability or fails to meet any other pertinent standard or criteria established by the Owner.
