PURCHASE OF SIGNS AND ACCESSORIES

The Town of Manchester, through its Public Works department, is soliciting bids under solicitation number 26/27-18 for the purchase of street, traffic regulatory, work zone, and miscellaneous signs, as well as sign stands and accessories, on an as-needed basis. The contract term runs from the date of award through January 31, 2028. Deliverables include a wide array of signage such as stop, yield, and pedestrian crossing signs, as well as hardware like galvanized U-channel posts and Zephyr portable sign stands. All products must meet strict technical standards, including Connecticut DOT approval for reflective sheeting and compliance with Connecticut DOT specifications Form 817 for aluminum blanks. Bids are due by 11:00 am on November 16, 2026. Evaluation is based on price, technical compliance, and delivery capabilities, with the requirement that deliveries be made within 14 days of order receipt. Pricing must be net delivered to the Public Works/Highway Department at 321 Olcott Street, Manchester, CT, and must include all inside delivery charges. The Town reserves the right to reject any merchandise that does not meet specifications, requiring the vendor to remove rejected items within ten days. Additionally, successful bidders must provide a current IRS Form W-9 and comply with Connecticut General Statutes regarding prevailing wage rates and federal and state safety standards.
