The Department of Veterans Affairs Great Lakes Acquisition Center plans to negotiate a sole source contract with the West Allis Fire Department to provide Community Paramedic Outreach Services on a continuous 24/7 basis. This initiative, governed by statutory authority 41 U.S.C. 1901 using simplified acquisition procedures, is not currently a solicitation but rather a market research effort to assess the interest and capabilities of potential vendors, including small businesses, veteran-owned, and service-disabled veteran-owned small businesses under NAICS code 621610 for Home Health Care Services. The government emphasizes that only West Allis Fire Department is considered capable of meeting the specific requirements, and no solicitation documents have been released. Interested firms that believe they can fulfill the requirements are requested to submit detailed capability statements and customer references electronically by the specified deadline to the designated contracting officer. Responses will be reviewed, though the government retains sole discretion to proceed without competition and finalize negotiations directly with West Allis Fire Department if no suitable responses are received. Telephone inquiries are expressly prohibited, and submissions must be made via email in Microsoft Word or PDF format. This effort supports the VA’s mission to ensure continuous paramedic outreach services for veterans in the Milwaukee, Wisconsin area.
