Full Description

Under Statutory Authority Â§ 41 U.S.C. 253(c)(1) Network Contracting Office 8 (NCO 8) intends to negotiate a sole source one year contract with Respironics Inc. for the lease of OmniLab Advanced multi-mode titration systems for the NF/SG Veterans Healthcare System, Malcolm Randall VA Medical Center, 1601 SW Archer Road, Gainesville, FL 32608. The NF/SG VA Hospital currently rents a number of OmniLab equipment and is seeking to increase the items to be leased. This procurement is being conducted in accordance with FAR 6.302-1 only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. Contract is firm fixed price and the NAICS Code is 532490. This notice is NOT a request for competitive proposals. Parties may identify their interest, accompanied by supporting literature to the Contracting Officer no later than 08/05/2013 at 4:00pm EST. Responses should be sent to contact@example.gov. No telephone responses will be accepted. Information received will be for the purpose of determining whether or not to conduct a competitive procurement. The determination to conduct a competitive procurement based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Contracting Officer. Description: The OmniLab titration systems have up to 16 analog input channels, output triggers for communication with other applications, variable sampling rates, can switch between monitoring and record modes, log entire experiment to separate file with decimated sampling rate, streaming to disk capabilities, convenient calibration routines, separate calibration files, various display options, and can mark events in data with time-stamped comments. The OmniLab manages data by keeping track of the user name and date/time each data file is acquired. It automatically generates entries in a lab journal with time-stamped user comments list and other information. The OmniLab has playback mode, navigate data file and retrieve data blocks according to event user comments with various analysis options. The OmniLab titration systems will be used at each patient bedside in the Sleep Laboratory for titration therapy. Six modes with multiple technologies are accessible directly from the computer at the central monitoring station in the Sleep Laboratory.
