The TRICARE Retail Pharmacy (TRRx) program held a pre-proposal conference on April 2 and 3, 2003, at the Doubletree Hotel in Aurora, Colorado. The first day focused on providing information regarding physical and personnel security requirements, while the second day addressed the remaining solicitation requirements. The conference was open to the public but primarily aimed at potential offerors, including subcontractors, who had registered on the TRRx solicitation website and could receive preferential seating if space was limited. Although no separate registration for the conference was required, participants were encouraged to submit questions or discussion topics to the Contracting Officer by March 27, 2003, to ensure the availability of appropriate personnel and prepared answers. The event was organized by the Defense Health Agency under the Department of Defense, with the solicitation reference number MDA906-03-R-0002. The Doubletree Hotel reserved a block of rooms for attendees, and reservation assistance was available via a dedicated phone number. The conference served as a key opportunity for potential contractors to clarify solicitation details and understand the requirements of the TRRx program before submitting proposals. The focus on both security and broader solicitation aspects reflected the comprehensive nature of the contract and its importance in managing retail pharmacy services for the TRICARE system.
