The VA Southern Nevada Healthcare System is seeking qualified contractors to provide 24/7 teleradiology services for the interpretation of diagnostic imaging studies, primarily plain film X-rays, for veterans and eligible beneficiaries at its North Las Vegas facility. Contractors must supply board-certified radiologists who will deliver accurate, timely interpretations using secure, HIPAA-compliant systems that integrate with the VA’s electronic health record infrastructure. All services must adhere to American College of Radiology, VA Medical Compliance Manual 11-20, The Joint Commission, and American Hospital Association standards, with strict compliance to federal privacy laws including the Privacy Act of 1974 and 38 U.S.C. 5701, and zero tolerance for breaches of protected health information. Radiologists must use NPIs in all electronic transactions, employ DICOM protocol and FIPS-compliant encryption for image transmission, and avoid prohibited abbreviations as outlined in the "Do Not Use List." The contract requires full credentialing, ongoing training—including annual VA privacy and HIPAA modules, ACLS/BLS recertification every two years, and infection control compliance—all supported by documentation of current licenses, board certifications, and primary source verification. Payment will be made at a firm-fixed percentage of the CMS Medicare rate effective at the time of service, invoiced monthly in arrears through the Tungsten Automation platform using CMS UB-04 electronic forms, with submissions due no later than the seventh workday of the following month.
