Full Description

Naval Surface Warfare Center, Carderock Division (NSWCCD), intends to negotiate on a sole source basis with Hamilton Sundstrand Division of United Technologies Corporation to procure engineering services to modify the control software of the Oxygen Generating Plant (OGP) used on SEAWOLF Class submarines. The software modification will permit the use of gas analyzer calibration gas normally used for a different Navy submarine oxygen generator, the Electrolytic Oxygen Generator (EOG), which is far more readily available than the OGP-specific gas. The Government intends to solict and negotiate with only one source pursuant to FAR 6.302-1, only one responsible soure and no toher supplies or services will satisy agency requirements, under the authority of 10 U.S.C. (c)(1). Note 22 applies.
