The Acquisition Services Directorate (AQD) of the Department of the Interior is conducting market research through a Request for Information (RFI) to identify responsible and capable sources for services related to Insuring Irrigation and Limited Irrigation Analysis & Evaluation. This RFI is not a solicitation for proposals or quotes but serves to gather information to support the potential release of an Indefinite Delivery-Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) contract and an associated first task order anticipated in October 2012. Interested parties are required to submit detailed company information, including identifiers such as DUNS and TIN, confirmation of their small business size standard under NAICS code 524298, subcontracting intentions with associated details, a capability statement limited to two pages, and a probability estimate of their likelihood to submit a quote if the solicitation is issued. The RFI emphasizes the need for vendors to clearly outline their experience and capabilities in irrigation-related analysis and evaluation services. Submissions must be sent by 12 PM ET on September 25, 2012, to specified points of contact within AQD. The information collected will enable AQD to better understand the market landscape, assess source capabilities, and structure the solicitations accordingly to ensure they receive competitive and qualified responses for the eventual contract award. The geographic place of performance is not specified, and the contracting office is based in Herndon, Virginia.
