R--Intent to Sole Source

Page 1 of 1 The Department of Veterans Affairs, Puget Sound Health Care System (VAPSHCS), intends to negotiate on a sole source basis, pursuant to FAR 6.302-5, with their academic affiliate, the University of Washington for research services. The VAPSHCS RD section Geriatrics Research Education and Clinical Centers (GRECC) investigators require research services not available at the VAPSHCS such as: metabolics and lipidomics, transgenics, histology, high through put drug screening, functional MRI, analytical biopharmacology, and mass spectrometry. This contract allows the VA to maintain an essential capability and ongoing research efforts that cannot be currently performed by the VA. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals; however, any responsible source who believes it is capable of meeting the requirement may submit a capability statement to the contracting office no later than Monday, April 16th, 4:00, EST. Interest/capability statements may be sent to Lynn Portman at contact@example.gov. No telephone responses will be accepted. A determination not to compete the proposed requirement based upon the responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
