This contract involves the subscription and licensing of a comprehensive, evidence-based medical resource database specifically for the Health Resource Center's Clinical Services Professional staff and Certified Pharmacy Technicians. The resource, which is vendor-maintained and web-based, will provide online access via PCs and mobile devices and will support up to ten simultaneous users, managed locally through a dedicated administrator console. The database covers a wide range of medical specialties, mirroring the scope of UpToDate, including areas such as cardiology, endocrinology, infectious diseases, pediatrics, psychiatry, and more, along with natural therapy information and educational content on drug therapies and off-label medication uses. The goal is to enhance Clinical Services' decision-making capabilities, support pharmacy care research, and assist with copay eligibility adjudications that currently lack a professional resource. The contract period spans a base year from December 2015 to November 2016, with four successive one-year option periods extending through November 2020. The database access must be provisioned to the Health Resource Center in Topeka, Kansas, within 30 days of award. Pricing details for the subscription and licensing are segmented by base and option years but are not specified in the provided information. This procurement is managed by the Department of Veterans Affairs' Network Contract Office 19, with the intention of delivering a robust clinical decision support tool that aligns with the needs of the VA’s pharmacy and clinical staff.
