Registry Contract

The County of San Mateo is soliciting proposals for a Registry Contract to secure a Joint Commission-accredited vendor to provide comprehensive temporary nursing and clinical staffing services for the San Mateo Medical Center. The selected contractor will act as a single source for the management, screening, and scheduling of a diverse workforce, including nurses, pharmacists, pharmacy technicians, laboratory technicians, radiologists, and therapists. Key requirements include strict experience thresholds, such as a minimum of two years of acute care experience for non-specialty nursing and four years for specialty nursing and management roles. All personnel must hold active, unrestricted California licenses and pass comprehensive background checks, drug screenings, and health clearances. Proposals are due by October 19, 2026, via the OpenGov eProcurement portal and will be evaluated based on project approach, firm and team qualifications, and price. The contract emphasizes rigorous regulatory compliance, requiring adherence to HIPAA Business Associate requirements, the Americans with Disabilities Act, Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act, and the San Mateo County Living Wage Ordinance.
