Full Description

The Social Security Administration (SSA) intends to negotiate on a sole source basis with Data Processing Techniques, Inc. 950 Charter Street, Redwood City, CA 94063, for the renewal of maintenance of six PDS Monitor Software Site Licenses and Support Services for the Period of May 1, 2009 through April 30, 2010 under the authority of Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 13.106-1(b)(1). The PDS Monitor Software is installed on Systems 81, 82, 83, 84, 91, and 92 located in SSA's National Computer Center (NCC). This PDS Monitor Software is used to produce a - Monthly Vendor Software Usage Report. This software is propriety to Data Processing Techniques, Inc. In addition, SSA believes that Data Processing Techniques, Inc. is the only responsible source capable of providing maintenance, updates, and fixes, along with software upgrades. All responsible sources may submit a capability statement via email to contact@example.gov by March 3, 2009, which shall be considered by the agency. Information received will be considered soley for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. THIS DOES NOT CONSTITUTE A SOLICITATION FOR QUOTES. If no responses are received by the cutoff date, the SSA will proceed to negotiate a sole source agreement with Data Processing Techniques, Inc. The Government reserves the right not to compete this requirement based upon responses to this notice. Telephone calls regarding this matter will not be accepted, nor will they be returned.
