This contract notice, issued by the 163rd Airlift Wing at March Air Reserve Base, is a Sources Sought announcement intended solely for informational and planning purposes, and does not represent a solicitation or commitment by the Government. It aims to identify qualified small businesses, including HUBZone, service-disabled veteran-owned, women-owned, veteran-owned, and other small business categories, capable of replacing an Air Handling Unit (AHU) and associated components at a specified location in California. The anticipated NAICS code for this effort is 238220, which covers Finish Carpentry Contractors, with a size standard of $19 million. The Government seeks responses that demonstrate capability but will not pay for any information or offer compensation for costs incurred during submission. The project scope includes demolition and replacement of the rooftop AHU (model TRANE CSAA040UB) and all related mechanical, plumbing, electrical, and control systems. Key tasks involve replacing disconnect switches and conduit, commissioning, integrating the new AHU into existing Automated Logic Controls, and providing a five-year warranty on parts and labor. The work requires compliance with a crane lift plan that must be approved by the FAA, allowing for a three-month review period. Component replacements encompass mechanical piping, control valves, actuators, smoke duct detectors, fire alarm testing, insulated piping, condensate line upgrades, and support replacements. Interested firms must submit a capability statement detailing company information, relevant experience, socio-economic status under NAICS 238350, and teaming arrangements by the specified deadline via email to designated points of contact.
